A New Challenge at My Sheri Crafts!

Good morning!  It's time for a new challenge at My Sheri Crafts and this time Raquel challenged us to make a "Birthday Celebration" project.  Here is mine:

I love this paper pad from  .  I've had it for awhile and this is the first time I've used it.

I distressed the inside edges with black ink.  I've waffled backed and forth on whether or not this is too much black for a birthday card.  But I've finally decided it's o.k.  What do you think?

Sentiment stamp: Just Rite
Die cut:  Spellbinders
Flower & Leaves diecuts:  Cuttlebug
Gems:  Paper studio
Feather:  bag of feathers gifted to me from my sister

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you'll check out all the other great DT inspiration over at My Sheri Crafts and join us!

I've entered these challenges:

Creative Moments - fall colors
Eclectic Ellepu - Purplies - Lady's Birthday

  1. Sarah, this is a stunning birthday card. I know of a couple of ladies who would just LOVE this card. I don't think it's too dark, goes so well with the lovely paper.

  2. WOW!!!! Sarah the Outlawz fits right into your blog pertly with your theme. Have you found the blinkie for Twisted Thursday yet? So glad you stopped by my blog thanks for the nice comment. If you go back where all the files are you will find all the blinkies. I think it is on the last page.
Love your card and the monochromatic colors. It is frilly but yet simple. Love the paper, great sentiment and nice die cuts.
